Freedom Music: Songs With A Message | Freeman Movement (2024)

Music has long been a powerful tool for change, rebellion, and the pursuit of freedom. From protest anthems to contemplative ballads, songs with a message resonate deeply with those seeking liberation—be it from societal control, unjust systems, or the chains of conformity.

For those involved in the Freeman on the Land philosophy and lawful rebellion, music can serve as a rallying cry. Furthermore, it can be a moment of reflection, or simply a reminder that others share the same vision of freedom and sovereignty.

What makes a song powerful is not just its melody or rhythm, but the story it tells and the connection it creates with its listeners.

You Supply The Freedom Music, Not Us!

Below is a hand-picked selection of songs that speak to the heart of freedom, autonomy, and resistance. While not all were written specifically for our movement, their messages align beautifully with the ideals of liberty, justice, and individual sovereignty.

These are “songs with a message”, of course. Rather than us provide a predefined list of songs, we invite you—our readers and fellow freemen—to contribute. So, what tracks inspire you to stand up for your rights, question authority, or envision a freer world?

  • Do you have a song that fuels your courage in the face of unjust systems?
  • Is there an artist whose lyrics embody the spirit of rebellion or the pursuit of sovereignty?
  • Which tunes bring clarity and strength to your journey?

Share your suggestions in the comments or on our social media channels. Together, we can curate a powerful collection of music that reflects the diverse paths and perspectives of the Freeman movement.

Magazine – Shot By Both Sides

A struggle for freedom and self-expression with powerful lyrics. “What is legal is just what’s real.
What I’m given to understand.”

“New offences always in my nerves. They’re taking my time by force.”

Rage Against the Machine – Killing in the Name

Few songs channel anger at injustice as powerfully as this explosive track. With its raw energy and repeated refusal to submit to control, it embodies the defiance central to movements of sovereignty and resistance.

Tom Robinson Band – Power in the Darkness

One of the best tracks from TRB. “Power in the darkness, stand up and fight for your rights.” Indeed, how can you disagree with those particular lyrics?

Creedence Clearwater Revival – Fortunate Son

This gritty anthem critiques the inequities of power and privilege.

Its themes of resisting unfair systems and questioning authority resonate strongly with those pursuing lawful rebellion.

John Lennon – Imagine

A softer, contemplative piece, Lennon’s vision of a borderless, peaceful world where people are free to live as they choose can inspire those yearning for a freer existence, untethered by oppressive laws or artificial divisions.

Paul McCartney – We All Stand Together

Included because of the sentiment. Of course, the common man needs to stand together in order to defeat the establishment. Besides, if we have a John Lennon song, we can’t ignore Paul McCartney!

Songs Submitted By Milkman

Patti Smith – People Have the Power

This rousing track emphasizes the collective strength of individuals united for change. It’s a reminder that lawful rebellion isn’t just about rejecting control—it’s about building a better, freer future together.

Pink Floyd – Another Brick in the Wall (Part II)

With its cry of “We don’t need no education,” this song critiques institutional indoctrination. Therefore, it’s a perfect anthem for those rejecting societal programming and striving for independent thought.

Bruce Springsteen – This Land is Your Land (Woody Guthrie Song)

Originally a protest against inequality and corporate greed, Guthrie’s folk anthem asserts that the land belongs to the people—not governments or elites. It’s also a call to reclaim our rightful autonomy and resources.

The Beatles – Revolution

This classic rock anthem questions the very idea of systemic power. Its balanced tone of questioning and action speaks to the thoughtful, measured approach of lawful rebellion. Of course, The Beatles were always rebellious!

Bob Dylan – The Times They Are A-Changin’

An enduring anthem for change, Dylan’s lyrics encourage us to embrace transformation and take a stand against the old ways that no longer serve us—a perfect soundtrack for the Freeman philosophy.

Manic Street Preachers – If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next

It is a song about the Spanish Civil War, but the title could appeal to anything. In other words, if you tolerate what the state or your masters dish out, your children will be the next target.

Muse – Uprising

“They will not control us. We will be victorious.”
Muse’s soaring anthem is a bold statement of resistance, making it a natural fit for anyone embracing lawful rebellion and the fight for autonomy.

Rise Against – Give It All

An anthem for the rebellious, of course. You have to give it all for what you believe in, regardless of the consequences because if you don’t fight for it, you are not going to achieve change.

Songs With A Message – An Escape Route

Undoubtedly, music is the international language. By the same token, it can unite people. Of course, governments the world over don’t like people banding together. In fact, divide and conquer is their motto! In contrast, the Freeman Movement aims to unite people. So, we say stuff the elite and their divisions!

We can do what we want as long as we harm nobody, and we can bloody well sing about anything in a similar vein!

The selection of songs we show here are those recommended by our members. By all means, please inform us of any particular song or YouTube channel that frees your mind and soul.

Your freedom music does not have to have freedom in the title, of course. In fact, music that reminds YOU of being free is all that you need to post here. After all, we all have different opinions about our freedom!
