Seldom do more than a few of nature’s secrets give way at one time. It will be all too easy for our somewhat artificial prosperity to collapse overnight when it is realized that the use of a few exciting words like information, entropy, redundancy, do not solve all our problems. - Claude Shannon (From his one page article in 1956 to curb the #hype)Stay away from using these words. Why: They don't really help getting any work done, at best shows you've read some papers on arxiv. Most importantly they make otherwise very competent software engineers think they lack some deep understanding. It's too early to adopt abstractions imposed be existing tools/frameworks.I've learned it the hard way - If you see a founder using `Agentic Workflow` in a sentence (exceptions: to a VC) - jump out.credits for the slide: Anton Troynikov#GenAI, #hype

Hey all,Continuing with #YouTube videos part, here is another one, explaining forward propagation and its implementation in #pytorch. The theory covers feed forward layer, with its mathematical foundations. The code section implements the architecture discussed, from scratch , without using inbuilt libraries. Backpropagation , computing derivatives and implementation will be out soon 😁Video: https://lnkd.in/gVEhBg6HFeedbacks are much welcome ♥️#machinelearning #content #deeplearning

Last Thursday I gave a talk at the meetup at GitHub Headquarters organized by Voxel51. Great place, great meetup, big thanks to Voxel51 and especially to Jacob Marks for inviting me.Title: "Enhancing adoption of Open Source Libraries. A case study on Albumentations"Slides: https://lnkd.in/g7B6rrywVideo: https://lnkd.in/gmmDN6gtP.S. After the talk started working with a teacher to decrease my accent 😜 P.P.S. If your early stage startup that develops Open Source package and you are looking for an advisor who can help to boost the adoption - feel free to reach out. #OpenSource #MachineLearning #DataScience #Albumentations #AI #TechTalk #GitHub #SoftwareDevelopment #Python #DeveloperTools #Advisor #PublicSpeaking #TechEvents #DeepLearning #AICommunity

Reading random content on the internet is like allowing remote code execution inside of your brain. Whatever you're reading will reinforce neural pathways and through mere exposure effect make it familiar. Curate your information sources.

xAI announced Grok-1.5 with a 128,000-token context window.Improvements in performance benchmarks:- MATH: 50.6%- GSM8K: 90%- HumanEval: 74.1%A standout feature of Grok-1.5 is its long context understanding, capable of processing up to 128K tokens. This extends its memory capacity, enabling more complex task handling.Grok-1.5 is powered by a custom distributed training framework utilizing JAX, Rust, and Kubernetes. The Grok-1.5 development team addressed large model training challenges by optimizing for reliability, automating node management, and improving checkpointing processes.Check it here: https://x.ai/blog/grok-1.5

Its the frameworks like LangChain is what makes the LLMs so powerful to use them for organization specific use-cases. Great work from Harrison Chase and team! Here is a link to a short tutorial from DeepLearning.AI on LangChain and as always, grateful for Andrew Ng for sharing useful contents for learners.https://lnkd.in/g3WFDj9y

AI/Machine Learning is simply a different way of solving technical problems. It's generating hype because it can solve challenges that were previously difficult or even impossible with traditional software engineering methods. For software engineers looking to explore these fields, starting with a specific use case or problem statement is often an effective strategy. It's the reason why we have a task page on Hugging Face to guide toward relevant resources.

"Software Is Eating the World, but AI Is Going to Eat Software." - Jensen HuangI've just released a new blog post about an open-source project that's making waves in the autonomous software engineering world: SWE-agent. It is setting new standards with its innovative Agent-Computer Interface (ACI), designed specifically for language model agents. The key idea is that one reason agents don't perform as well today is they don’t yet have the right interfaces to do tasks such as debugging code. If you thought Devin was impressive, you will love this. See link in the comments section 👇#LLM #LargeLanguageModels #AutonomousSoftwareEngineering #OpenSource #CodeGeneration

In two weeks, we'll be presenting our Late-Breaking paper titled "Evaluating Human-AI Partnership for LLM-based Code Migration" at CHI 2024. Our study examines how humans can effectively interact with LLMs in the context of code modernization, serving as directors who guide the decision-making process and reviewers who evaluate the outcomes. This approach fosters a dynamic partnership that enhances both the productivity and precision of code modernization.Join us on May 15th at CHI 2024 to explore how these insights can revolutionize AI integration in software engineering.#CHI2024 #GenerativeAI #SoftwareDevelopment #HumanAIPartnership #CodeMigration #AmazonScience #AWSAI Amazon Science
